Privacy policy

Browsing as a buyer or renter

You don't need an account to browse listings, watch videos, like rooms, or save listings. We assign your browser a random, anonymous identifier stored locally on your device. It's not tied to your name, email, or any personal identity, and it never leaves your device except to record anonymous activity like which rooms you liked or which listings you viewed. You can clear it any time by clearing your browser's site data.

If you use "Contact agent" or "Contact lister" on a listing, the name and contact information (phone or email) you provide is emailed directly to that listing's agent or lister so they can follow up with you. As of July 5, 2026, we do not store your name or contact info in our database at all; we only keep how urgently you're looking (e.g. "ready to move ASAP" vs. "just browsing") along with the listing and date, so agents and our team can see that a lead came in and how to prioritize it. Messages sent before that date are still on file. If you use "Email me this listing," we send a one-time email to the address you provide. That address isn't stored for any other purpose.

Agent and lister accounts

Creating an account requires an email address, name, and password (we store a securely hashed version, never the password itself). Agents may optionally provide a DRE license number and brokerage name for verification. Everything you upload, including listing details, photos, and videos, is stored so it can be shown to buyers.

Listing locations

A listing's exact street address is never shown to a buyer directly. We display an approximate location on a map until a buyer reaches out to the agent or lister. This is intentional and applies to every listing on the platform.

Third parties we use

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the app, each handling only what's needed for their part:

• Mux: hosts and streams walkthrough videos
• Vercel Blob: stores uploaded photos
• OpenAI: analyzes room photos to suggest a design style, and powers our AI search by matching your search text against real listing details (price, beds, amenities, description). It only ever sees listing content and search text, never a buyer's personal information
• Resend: sends account verification, password reset, and listing-link emails
• Google Maps: renders the approximate location map on a listing
• Supabase: hosts our database

Data retention and deletion

We keep account and listing data for as long as your account is active. To permanently delete your account and every listing, photo, and video you've posted, email info@topreelestate.com and we'll take care of it. This can't be undone.

Children's privacy

Top Reel Estate is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
